About Us
Cetane
Energy LLC was formed in 2006 to provide new, sustainable, renewable
fuels. Cetane started out bringing new
life to a decommissioned ammonia plant, making it into a pilot plant for
renewable diesel. In 2009, Cetane became
the first facility in the United States to produce renewable diesel from a
standalone unit. Through this test run
Cetane established its process and confirmed that renewable diesel can be made
from sustainable sources such as tallow, brown grease, and many other substances
traditionally treated as “trash”.
